Opal, oxidized sterling silver. 

Radiant in color, this stone has so much going on. The colors range from iridescent purple to cloudy blue with the brown matrix popping through. What I find unusual is the opaque golden yellow. 

Necklace is adjustable from 18" to 20" and the stone 1-1/2" long and about 1-1/4" across.
