A colourful gemstone bracelet adorned with alternating purple amethysts and green peridots, weighing approx. 1ct each. The stones are bezel set in 9ct gold links and held by a hinged claw clasp at the end complete with hallmarks.
The combination of violet and green gems was often used together to show support for the women’s Suffrage movement in the early 20th Century. A white stone was often present as well and together symbolised the movements key virtues; Violet for Royalty, White for Purity and Green for Hope, or Give Women Votes!
It's a colourful piece with a vibrant collection of gemstones that contrast and complement each other beautifully.
